Miss California (right), Carrie Prejean, met multi-Dove and Grammy winner Larnelle Harris backstage at the 40th Annual Gospel Music Association Dove Awards on April 23. Prejean, a devout Christian and the runner-up in the 2009 Miss USA pageant, made headlines this week when she was asked during the pageant how she felt about the legalization of same-sex marriage. Prejean said she thought marriage should be defined as a union between a man and a woman. While some critics have speculated that her answer may have cost her the Miss USA crown, supporters have praised Prejean for speaking her mind. Harris performed "I Go To The Rock" during the live telecast in a musical tribute segment to the late Dottie Rambo.
